Fly Fishing in Big Sky Year-Round
Gallatin River Guides has been a cornerstone of the Big Sky fly fishing scene since 1984. Their expert guides offer float trips, walk/wades, and educational clinics on some of the most iconic rivers in Montana—the Gallatin, Madison, and Yellowstone. Whether you’re looking for a half-day intro or a full-day deep dive, the crew starts by learning what you’re looking for—and then crafting a trip to match.

More Than a Fly Shop
Located right off Highway 191 in Big Sky, the shop is open 363 days a year and fully stocked with everything from flies to waders to rods. They also run a private casting pond for family-friendly outings and kids’ trips. Inside, the space is a hub for gear, licenses, river reports, and good advice.

Education & Community
Beyond guided trips, Gallatin River Guides offers Montana Fishing Guide School and a women’s fly fishing clinic, helping grow confidence and independence on the water. They also host seasonal community events, like the June 20 Solstice Party, with gear demos, food, music, and raffles to support Gallatin River Task Force.
