Aneta Orlik is the founder of Orrick Skin, a skincare practice focused on helping clients feel confident through facials, laser treatments, and clean, thoughtfully chosen products. Aneta splits her time between Big Sky, Montana and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, traveling back to Philly every couple of months to see long-time clients who “wouldn’t let her quit.”
In this episode, we talk about what actually changes as skin ages, what Montana’s dry climate does to your face, why she believes your skincare products should be clean enough to “eat,” and the one step she says almost everyone skips at home, even though it matters more than most people realize.

From Poland to Pennsylvania to Big Sky
Aneta grew up in Poland, moved to the U.S. in her mid-20s, and eventually built a career in skincare that’s lasted more than 15 years. Her path started with a simple thought experiment, what could she do for the rest of her life that would still interest her even when she’s old?
Her answer was skincare. Specifically, the kind of hands-on work most people don’t talk about out loud, but everyone wants the benefits of.
What Aneta Actually Does for Skin
Aneta’s approach is not “one facial fits all.” She starts with what the skin needs right now.
For younger skin, the focus is often on congestion, acne, clogged pores, and helping clients build a routine that prevents future flare-ups.
For skin over 30, it becomes more of a hybrid, controlling breakouts while also addressing fine lines, texture, and firmness.
And as skin becomes more balanced, the work shifts toward sculpting, hydration, and long-term tightening, without invasive procedures.
She uses a mix of manual techniques and devices, including treatments designed to smooth texture, increase hydration, and stimulate collagen through non-invasive methods.
The “Glazed Donut Facial” and Why People Love It
One of Aneta’s most popular services is the Glazed Donut Facial, named after what clients say when they look in the mirror after the treatment, skin that looks hydrated, bright, and glossy in a healthy way.
It’s a longer session, often 90 minutes to two hours, and includes multiple steps that build on each other, from exfoliation and massage to deeper hydration and tightening-focused techniques. It’s designed to leave the skin looking more plump, more even, and noticeably more alive.
Clean Products and the Montana Climate
Aneta believes in a simple rule: don’t put anything on your face you wouldn’t put in your mouth.
She’s intentional about the brands she uses, choosing clean products without harsh additives, and selecting formulas that match what she sees most in Montana, dryness, dehydration, irritated barriers, and skin that “soaks everything up” when people first move here.
Her One Best Skincare Tip
If someone only takes one thing from this episode, Aneta says it’s this:
Use a toner after washing your face.
It’s the most skipped step in most routines, but she sees it as the foundation, helping balance the skin and helping your moisturizer and other products work better.
After that, in Montana, she’s also big on consistent moisturizing, especially in winter and in dry indoor environments.
